Professional BIM Implementation Process
Professional BIM Implementation Process
DHA follows a 7-stage standardized BIM workflow to ensure project progress, minimize risks, and identify coordination issues in the digital model before construction begins.
BIM Strategy Consulting
Analyze project requirements, contractual BIM obligations, target LOD, and project schedule. Deliver the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
Architectural & Structural Modeling
Develop the base BIM model from design drawings for review and approval by the client's design team before proceeding with other disciplines.
MEP Modeling
Model HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems within the coordinated architectural and structural model.
Clash Detection & Reporting
Perform systematic coordination using Navisworks and Dalux. Issue clash reports with recommended solutions for both design and construction teams.
Design Optimization & Clash Resolution
Update BIM models based on approved coordination decisions and perform repeated clash detection to verify that all issues have been resolved.
LOD Enhancement
Upgrade the BIM model to the required Level of Development (LOD), including fabrication-level geometry, technical specifications, and embedded project data.
Project Delivery
Deliver the completed BIM model, extracted drawings, and all project documentation in the agreed formats, ensuring a smooth handover for construction and facility management.
Flexible Project Schedule
A typical BIM project is completed within 6–12 months. The implementation schedule is customized according to the project scope, target LOD, and the client's construction timeline, ensuring quality delivery and on-time completion.
