Dwight School Hanoi – A Landmark of International Educational Architecture at The Manor Central Park

Project description: Located within The Manor Central Park, Dwight School Hanoi is an educational project featuring a pioneering and iconic architectural language for the global Dwight system. The building was designed by Carlos Zapata Studio, the renowned architect behind iconic projects such as the Bitexco Financial Tower.

Design concept & solution:

• Unique Architectural Form: The building defies traditional geometric rules with a continuous, sloped façade, creating a sense of movement and emphasizing the flexibility of modern urban architecture.
• Open Space – Maximizing Natural Light: Utilizing an open-plan philosophy, the learning spaces are flexibly arranged to create visual connections between functional blocks and maximize natural light, thereby reducing energy consumption.
• Sustainable Design – International Standards: An advanced air filtration system and microclimate control solutions are integrated to ensure a high-quality school environment and increase operational efficiency.
• Interactive Landscape: The outdoor spaces are designed as a learning ecosystem, including standard sports fields, an experimental vegetable garden, and relaxation areas that connect students with nature.
• Diverse Functional Spaces: The campus features a black box theater, an 800-seat performance center, a concert hall, an indoor swimming pool, and a system of specialized laboratories for science, arts, and technology.

Award: The project's landscape design won the Architecture MasterPrize 2023, distinguished by its "green waterfall" structure that extends along the building's geometric lines.
